AMA question
A while back, you guys had Emily Swallow who was the Armorer in “The Mandalorian” on da pod. I haven’t been a fan of the Star Wars series but this one won me over 🤣 I can’t wait for the movie “Mandalorian and Grogu” to come out next year! My question is for all 3 of you: If you could have any role in the Star Wars world, who would like to be? It can be any character/role from ANY of the Star Wars movies/shows. This next question is random, Would you guys ever consider doing Hot Ones? Where you eat wings with different levels of hot sauces WHILE being interviewed. Who do you think would last the longest? Spaceballs 2! (Sequels)
Hey guys! A few months ago you answered one of my questions about movies you've never seen and I mentioned Mel Brooks. I just heard they are officially coming out with Spaceballs 2! How much fun is that?! I'm super excited and pumped up for this sequel! Are there any movies from the 80s or 90s you would love to see a sequel to? Fun fact - I have a tag on my suitcase that says "Spaceballs The Luggage Tag". However, I don't have a combination on my luggage. 🤣🤣 Love you guys! You're the absolute best! Question for Andy
We have all seen you shred on guitar, do you play any other instruments? And if you could do life over would you choose music over acting...if yes what would be your dream band? P.S I love all you guys I'm around the same age as Andy so I have been a fan of you all my entire life. You have all done the impossible- becoming a part of the collective memory. People of all ages know who the Lawrence brothers, are what a legacy! Congrats on the pod da pod!
Fan Clubs
In the 90s, many celebrities had fan clubs. When I was 13, my celebrity crush was Jonathan Brandis. (Sorry it wasn't one of you guys, but I gravitated toward blond haired, blue eyed guys back then 🤷♀️😁). My mom had a local bakery take one of my posters from Teen Beat and make a cake with Jonathan's image on it. I was mortified when she revealed it in front of my friends at my party, and even more so when I found out she sent a picture of it into his fan club! Imagine my surprise, however, when I got a letter back from the club saying the cake looked great and Jonathan got to see the photos. They also sent me a few other memorable items! As mad as I was at my mom at the time, I'm so grateful to have that letter and memorabilia to this day, as they represent a part of my childhood. It broke my heart when I learned of his passing in the early 2000s. Joey and Matt, did you both have fan clubs back then? I'm guessing Andy was too young to have one. Do any of you have memorable letters or gifts that fans sent into your fan clubs in that decade? Can you recall any letters that you responded to because they were especially meaningful to you?
Fear Factor
Has there ever been anything you’ve needed to do in for a role that terrified you? I could never be an actor because the fear of the unknown stunts from film to film would wreck me. OR if you’ve never been afraid of anything, have you ever had to learn to do something that was super hard?
Oscars
In the most mind-blowing movies episode of the pod da pod, Andy says that Tom Holland should have won an Oscar for The Impossible. I watch it this weekend and totally agree. I think Andy should have won an Oscar for Better Than Love. So many brilliant performances don't get recognized. Especially with comedies. How Robin Williams didn't get an Oscar for Mrs. Doubtfire is mind boggling. What are some performances that you think should have won an Oscar?
