Hey there fellas, hoping all of you r having a fabulous month š I am curious about the experience that you had filming together with Tony Horton. Can you talk about what it was like filming for those three days? I can imagine you all were thoroughly exhausted after doing so many videos in a short amount of time. And I also just wanted to say thank you so much for all that you do for your fans.
Do any of you get too interactive watching a TV show or movie? Throughout this season of The Masked Singer, I kept yelling at Matt to stop giving such easy clues. Then I'd call the panel bad names for guessing wrong. I mean come on, the Boltneck clue was a dead giveaway! 𤣠I'm binge watching Boy Meets World, again, with my grandson. We are both yelling at the TV "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHAT DOES TOPANGA SEE IN CORY?!" Why didn't she marry Jack and go to Yale?! We don't get it! The episode of Blossom that I call "Joey grows a pair" where his mom misses all his games always has me yelling bad names at the mom. Really bad names. š³ Please extend my apologies to Melissa Manchester. I mean how can any mom look at little Joey (Andy), medium Joey (Matt), and big Joey (Joey) and not want to go to his games? Hmmmm...what do these shows have in common? Matt! It's all your fault Matt! š¤£š¤£š¤£ So what shows, or actor, make you join in?
Hiii, I first want to say how much I love and appreciate you guys for being such notable points in my childhood. Mrs. Doubtfire & the Bean Movie are my favs. I really loved Marry Christmas, and Andyās sadboy character was every bit perfect and hilarious. At the end, you see Cali catch a bouquet, and it made me think about a spinoff movie of her and Seth. They seem like the sweetest, and I really need any excuse for more Seth. Thanks again, take care ā„ļø
Joe, Matt, and Andy, first of all, thank you for being so real on your podcast. I grew up watching your movies/tv shows. I was born in 1989. And was raised similar to yāall. (Excuse the southern dialect. Iām from Mississippi.) My question is for Andy. It seems like Iām forever single. How do you go about dating at our age in todayās culture?
Watching Matt conquer his fear of singing on a stage reminded me of a fear I wish I had conquered in school. I was very good at volleyball and basketball, most sports really. But my fear of people watching me kept me from trying out for the team. The middle school football coach even asked me to try out for the football team after watching me kick, but that fear of being watched kept me from trying out. It's because of me that my Cowboys don't have 20 Super Bowl wins instead of just 5, because I never tried out. Now I blame those damn aliens for not abducting Jerry Jones. š” These days I'll sing and dance in a grocery store without any care of anyone watching me, or the fact that I can't sing. Their problem, not mine. š Joey and Andy, what fear do you want to conquer? Matt do you have any more fears to conquer?
It was such sad news to read about Val Kilmer's passing last month. He was such an versatile actor who never seemed like a fool in real life, but could become one for a role in such a fantastic way, like in Real Genius and Top Secret. Ironically, I think he would probably smirk at the fact that his passing fell on April Fools Day, as comedic timing was such a central part of many characters he played. Then he'd go on to inhabit roles like the adventurous rogue Madmartigan in Willow, smooth aviator Tom Kazansky "Iceman" in Top Gun, musician Jim Morrison in The Doors, Doc in Tombstone, and so many others with such confidence and skill that you truly believed he was that person. I recently watched his documentary Val on Amazon, and it was so fascinating to learn about his life outside of the industry, as well. Did any of you ever have the chance to meet him? If so, what was that like? If not, can you think of any projects or movies that he did that you would have liked to have collaborated with him on? Like Robin, he's definitely someone who I truly feel is gone too soon.
Hey Matt, I would like to congratulate you on your outstanding performance on 'The Mask Singer.' Your voice is truly angelic. You mentioned Broadway, and my question is if you could select one show to be a part of which show would you choose and why? As a Jersey girl, I would make the trip to Manhattan to see you in any production you were involved in a heartbeat. Ps. Can you ššš put out your version of hallelujah and unpretty.
Couldn't wait for the Masked Singer to be over, so you could share your experience with us. Matthew, we all knew you could sing but your voice is angelic. Wow, you brought me to tears. Your rendition of Hallelujah was amazing. Hallelujah is the highest praise and you really, really brought it home. Would you ever consider doing a praise album? PS, just like Joey, you were robbed, should have made it to the finaleš¢
You guys have shared quite a bit of music with us, You always come up with great songs! Just the way you harmonize and blend together is just amazing! Andy: āUnder the mistletoeā is my new favorite Christmas song! My dog Bella, is a rescue we adopted 3 years ago. Her biggest fear is thunderstorms & music is usually the only thing that helps calm her. We live in Florida so storms happen often, this one particular day she would not calm down - I was watching āMarry Christmasā & when that song came on - she started to calm down a little and then she laid down! Thanks for being a source of comfort for her! I hope we get to hear more amazing music in the future. Question time: What song(s) would you guys want to put your own spin on? I think itād be cool to see you do a rendition of āWill you be there?ā by Michael Jackson or āForever Youngā by Alphaville. Maybe add in some dance moves? Itās so great to see how artists put their own spin on songs & make it their own. I also really hope you guys continue making movies together - you guys are 1000% amazing! Wishing your mom a blessed Motherās Day, same to your wife Joe! BTW, I think EVERY DAY should be Motherās Dayš
Hey guys! I want to say thank you to Matt for sharing your spiritual journey. I encourage you to keep going! Spiritual warfare is very real but stand firm. š I pray you continue to heal and grow in your relationship with Jesus. My question for Matt is, what scriptures have enlightened you on your faith walk so far? Also, l would love to recommend some songs by Christian artists to listen to when you get the chance. Phil Wickham "Relationship", Stephen Stanley "Whatever it takes", Seph Schlueter "Love me still", Tauren Wells "Crazy about you", Micah Tyler "Different", Megan Woods "The truth", Jeremy Camp "No rain", and We the Kingdom "Dancing on the waves". I hope you enjoy these songs. āŗļø May God bless you abundantly and give you His wisdom and a fresh revelation. I pray Deuteronomy 28:1-14 over you. All my love and support to you guys always!
Hey guys how would you answer the Stephen Colbert questionaire he asks his guests? 1. What is the best sandwich? 2. What is the scariest animal?, 3. What is your favorite action movie? 4.Favorite smell? 5. Least favorite smell?, 6. Cats or Dogs but think with Mr. Smee we already know that answer lol? 7. Apples or oranges? 8. aisle or window? 9. What do you think happens when we die? 10. Describe the rest of your life in 5 words? 11. If you only had to listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be? Thanks guys take care!
Joe, I recently saw 2 movies you starred in āPardoned by Graceā & āSaved by Graceā. The way you bring the characters to life, is really amazing! I resonated to āSaved by Graceā quite a bit, and the journey your character had been on. My best friend unexpectedly passed away near the end of 2015 & it was one of the hardest things Iāve ever walked through. Faith based movies always help reassure me whenever I face trials, that Iām never alone & that my heart is always seen by God - no matter how Iām feeling. My question is: What was it like playing Scott Highberger & having the real Scott on set? Both movies had some intense moments & you crushed every scene to the end! How did you prepare for the roles of āRickā & āScottā & doing those tough/emotional scenes? Matt & Andy: Do you like portraying real people & doing movies based on true events or do you prefer certain roles over others? Thank you for always being real with us & bringing joy to every pod. God bless!
On the last AMA, you mentioned that your Mom was already asking when you were doing the Mother's Day pod. In addition to the Mother's Day and Father's Day pods, could your parents each do a special Mother's Day and Father's Day AMA? Also, you always sing with your Dad. You know your Mom has a lovely voice. We'd love to hear her sing too!
I just watched āPardoned by Graceā & āSaved by Graceā & I have to say both movies were awesome! I love faith based movies that help reignite my faith &hope. I donāt usually talk too much about personal things except with my family and close friends - it can be a hard/emotional topic to talk about. Iāve been walking through the journey of unexplained infertility. Itās been a long journey of hopes being dashed, constant feelings of defeat/feeling like a failure as a wife. Iāve struggled with āwhyā, navigating the unknowns & feeling alone. My family, my husband, friends, my church, & faith movies have helped me through the emotional roller coaster & Iām so grateful for the small reminders that Iām loved, Iām not alone. My heart is seen by God & the tears never go unnoticedā¤ļø This is a question for Joe: What was it like meeting the real Scott Highberger & having him on set? What is the hardest part of doing a challenging role/how did you prepare yourself for the hard scenes? There were some intense moments in both movies & you just crushed every scene to the end! Matt & Andy: Do you like doing movies based on true events/real people or are there certain roles that you prefer doing over others? You guys are rockstars and Iām so grateful for this pod! Have a blessed Easter! Love you guys!
Hi guys! Iām not sure if this has come up before, but have you thought about doing a rewatch of Brotherly Love? Iām a fairly new listener and I got onto your podcast through the Pod Meets World podcast when they had Matt on and think it would be so fun for you guys to do a similar thing with your show! Would love to hear your input on each episode and hear behind the scenes stories, memories, etc. Love you guys and thank you for making my Fridayās extra special! :)
